Moving On - A Traveller's Voice
The second phase of A Traveller’s Voice is now underway. Singers Mary-Anne Roberts, Pauline Down and Katey Brooks will be working with Roma and Irish Traveller children in South Gloucestershire, supporting them to develop their own singing and songwriting.
During the first phase 31 children and 12 teenagers learnt traditional and popular songs, body percussion, rhythm games and worked on writing their own songs.
The Traveller’s Voice project was developed in collaboration with South Gloucestershire Music Education Hub and EMTAS (Ethnic Minority and Traveller Achievement Service) and is part of Sound Splash, Bristol’s Musical Inclusion project.
